nce again, The Davis Theatre in Higginsville is in danger of closing. This time it is due to movie studios phasing out 35 mm film, forcing theaters to switch to digital projection equipment, at a cost of $70,000 or more per screen. For a town with a population of only 4,700, this may be an insurmountable expense.
