ragmentation is an important consideration in both Modern and Postmodern art. A modicum of surface fragmentation brings into action low-level sensibilities of chaos and disruption. Cubism denies the eye stable focusing points around which the rest of the composition is organized. Taking these concepts further, PoMo transforms all reality into images, fragmenting time into a sequence of continuous presents.
