hen inventing new optical devices, I attempt many possibilities as temporary constructs. Quickly evaluating the results on the camera LCD, if something has potential, I then make a more permanent device iteration for extended shooting. The temporary constructs are torn apart, so the components can be repurposed. However, I keep most of the test images.
Some images made during the initial testing phase turn out to be very interesting when later dumped to a computer hard-drive and examined large at high-resolution. Such images, originally quickly passed over, now seem worthy of further exploration. The only problem, I am now not exactly sure of the conditions of capture, and may not be able to duplicate the specific image formulation again.
