tark geometry found in the city sparks attention. I have always liked grids, considered as a structured fragmentation. Each individual cell acts independently, but also functions as an integrated part of a larger whole. Each visual entity captured in the image stream is a cell extracted from an environmental context, deconstructed from apparent reality. The grid is generally considered a modernist construct, but can easily be embraced by an enlighten postmodern congregation.
“This is the postmodern desert inhabited by people who are, in effect, consuming themselves in the form of images and abstractions through which their desires, sense of identity, and memories are replicated and then sold back to them as products” - Larry McCaffrey
