C olor-field geometrics dominate in a diagonal abstraction, as a short stone-wall separates different consolidated rock fragment aggregates. Almost minimalistic, this is another capture from a high Pittsburgh bridge looking down into an organized gravel repository. Adjacent to the Monongahela River, these piles probably are collected from natural gravel deposits formed as a result of weathering and erosion of rocks.

“In diving to the bottom of pleasure, we bring up more gravel than pearls.” - Honore de Balzac
