uccessive approximation. After testing many macro lens iterations while stalking miniature color abstractions, I am most happy with an extension tube coupled to my Olympus 55mm f1.2 used hand-held. The wide aperture gathers lots of radiation with a corresponding razor-thin depth-of-field, facilitating these expressive emotive flower captures. Adding to the process, in this image several different exposures at slightly different focal positions are combined in post-processing.
