T he Gerbera Daisy frequently is used as a model organism in studying flower formation. It also is an excellent subject for exploring color and shape relationships within an abstract pictorial plane. Considering the history of human cognition, the separation between the aesthetic and the artistic is an extremely recent development. As a strategy of shock and novelty, the concept of discounting the beautiful may just be a short anomalous blip, a temporary insignificant phenomenon.
