eaching means preparing prior to class, and last week the lesson was digital painting. Pulling an image from the recent archive, the Burlington visit became viable subject matter to restore proficiency familiarity. Like the product of an archeological dig, this image artifact becomes reinterpreted and recontextualized in ways not envisioned at its inception. The archive is a dynamic structure, which through its modification engenders new historical layering.
