icissitudes of winter travel; my return home from the residency took two days. Stuck in Burlington, I took the opportunity to photograph and contemplate. Over the course of the week past, I was able to schedule ten critiques, each of which was uniquely different. The net effect is a renewed desire to make images, but with a reevaluation of my visual orientation. I now have a name and focus for my next studio project: Disaffected Dimension. This inquiry will attempt to displace my current aesthetics as centered in each image to constructing a set of images that considers aesthetics differently by moving beyond appearance expectations. Easier said than done, this image exemplifies a departure reference.
