eanwhile back at the UCM Student Recreation and Wellness center, priorities are revealed. Although the university was closed yesterday due to inclement weather, the new health club remained open. Conditions deemed unsafe for travel to class apparently were good enough if the destination is an exercise machine. This expensive amenity is an indicator of evolving educational emphasis, and helps to define “weather essential.”
“Due to inclement weather, UCM's main campus and the UCM Summit Center in Lee's Summit are closed today. All classes are cancelled for today, and all offices and the James C.
