Routine Journey

   Real dream
Connected bits
Expanses unknown

T his is a “similar but different” companion piece to an image posted on November 17. It is yet again another installment of translating the common and routine into something entirely unusual. On foot, I pass through the Shelby Connivance Store parking lot twice each workday, vigilant to avoid being run-over by the impatient and oblivious patrons. If they notice my presence at all, they look at me as if I am an outcast from society, engaged in improper transportation. Often my camera seems to really upset them. This town remains decidedly unfriendly towards pedestrians, an odd and unfortunate characteristic.

“The invariable mark of wisdom is to see the miraculous in the common.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
