The Star

S tructure of affairs. Corporate identity is here purposefully represented by a morphological exoskeleton appearance. Although supporting a venerable communication vessel arguably in decline, this newly constructed newspaper production facility speaks to modernness and the future. Opened in 2006, requiring $199 million and four years to build, the facility contains four 60 foot high printing presses. Perhaps in an attempt to reshape the prospective in the face of accelerating inverse trends, even the powerful are subject to prodigious uncontrollable forces. Large investment in a desired outcome contrary to empirical tendencies is risky business.

“Twinkle, twinkle, little Star
Bright and gossipy you are;
We can daily hear you speak
For a paltry dime a week”
- Eugene Field
