n an abandoned manufacturing area, it is reassuring to see wild flowers encroaching on the rusty crusty industrial remnants. No matter how man fouls his nest, the earth will convulse, although things will not revert back to conditions existent prior to the transgression. Entropy is a capricious phenomena and rules in a dynamic system. Life began on our planet about 3,500 million years ago. Currently the world's human population increases by almost one billion inhabitants every ten years. When an organism's numbers exceed the carrying capacity of its habitat, that species must go into decline. Of all the species that have ever existed on earth, 99.9% are now extinct.
