xpanding on our Flint Hills experiential base, we made an effort to try fresh things and explore new areas on our last expedition. In this vein, we spent several warm hours hiking the two section pasture, part of the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. Turned out to be a relatively ordinary mid-day prairie landscape, but still offered a few worthy visual opportunities. Here I appreciated how the sky referenced the land as isolated clouds drifted leisurely in the azure atmosphere.
