Dead End

   Search is over
Progress impasse
You have arrived

S ufficiently complex and universal art imagery can mean almost anything as interpreted by anybody. It is therefore fun to dig into the literature of art history to contemplate why certain irrational constructs have gained favor over others. It seems that many art scholars now embrace increasing dopey anti-art aesthetics built on a foundation of absurdity. Each succeeding entry must be more banal than what came before, associated with supplementary obtuse analysis. When you have reached a dead end, it turns out that it is possible to become deader.

“Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end”
- Jim Morrison
