stensibly working in an idiom I consider to be universally relevant, the paradigm of reduction through motion is persistently explored. Shifting between making images that are hyper-realistic to images that are softly impressionistic, both ends of the rendering spectrum inform and influence one another. As an artist searching for meaning, it is my duty to move beyond obvious appearances and locate deeper knowledge. This quest and the resulting awareness constitute an individual entity within the broad context of existence. Motion can only occur over time and within space as energy interacts with matter.
