In both exercises, the resulting work emphasizes the physical performance of image creation as an essential aspect of the completed work. Thus the finished art object is only considered a physical manifestation or remainder document of the total work of art. From this orientation, energy, space, matter and time are approached as "an arena in which to act" in the process of image conception.
