eing on location as a storm front passes often provides wonderful visual conditions. The sun breaking through small holes in the sky richly illuminates damp surfaces. The clouds to the east are relatively dark providing contrast to the saturated foreground. To render the experience, I made a two shot stitched panorama using my 21mm Olympus OM lens, with one exposure for the sky and the other for the shore immediately at my feet. The combination of circumstances which made this image possible lasted only fleetingly, as the moody conditions were in a period of rapid transition.
“Gray skies are just clouds passing over.” - Duke Ellington
