Epiphenomena
Parallel world

A fter forty years of actively making images and being engaged in the art and craft of photography, it is surprising to suddenly do something new. Well maybe not completely new, but rather a new combination of technology, methodology and subsequent creative result. This image is my first ultra wide angle horizontal landscape motion blur effort. What is really interesting is the optical distortion that becomes evident in the corners, causing the top clouds to curve up and the bottom shore to curve down. Immediately after capture, when I saw this outcome on the camera LCD, I instantly felt I had something innovative.

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” - Marcel Proust
