Dropped | Deciduous release Preparation for growth Time for new leaves |
A
n appealing feature of the Pin Oak tree is the retention of leaves through the winter. The two specimens in my front yard are covered with leaves almost year-round, though the leaves die in the fall, they remain attached until the new leaves appear in the spring. In this rendering, the old leaves have all just dropped off but the new growth has not yet commenced. During the long exposure a white paneled truck drove by creating a horizontal highlight tracing.
