erendipity happens. Drive-by shooting is a technique made feasible by digital photography. With such a low return rate it simply was not affordable in the days of film. But now it offers a rich opportunity for creative expression, and a fresh visual vernacular is emerging. Almost always I have the camera close at hand whenever traveling by automobile. Influencing a new generation, it is gratifying when students embrace this lexicon and push the practice in their own individual direction.
