n unusual occurrence during an extended star trails exposure made at Maple Leaf Lake, strange aerial behavior is here recorded as erratic light tracings in the lower atmosphere. About five minutes into the image exposure, an extremely bright light appeared on the horizon. It slowly gained altitude and then inexplicably stopped, remaining motionless for about three minutes. Then the bright light extinguished and only much fainter flashing lights remained. Next the object began to move around the sky, rapidly changing speed and altitude while intermittently coming to a complete stop, hovering in one position. The aerial acrobatics lasted for about thirty minutes, and occasionally the craft would get close enough to hear the sound emanating from her engine. Undoubtedly real, this is either an extraterrestrial visitation or an experimental military aircraft, whichever interpretation you prefer.
