I
t is difficult to predicate a thriving episode of artistic activity, characterized by energized focus and full involvement. But when it occurs perception seems channeled and responsiveness keen. Late Friday afternoon at Hazel Hill, I had time to work with my Lester Dine 105mm macro lens, exploring the shore line close-up prior to switching to star trail mode. The found combinations of ice, smooth rocks, and assorted plant parts provided extraordinary texture, shape and color compositions, producing the most excellent images from the excursion. Approaching this subject as pure abstraction, the experience became engrossing as I slipped into a creative zone of complete awareness.
