limbing up to the first summit at Konza Prairie is exhilarating. Getting a feel for the current conditions and a sense of how the photographic experience of this encounter will play-out, the view from the top is always well worth the effort of the ascent. The Bluestem grasses which make up much of the natural fauna of the area are pleasing to the eye and soothing to the soul. Being out in these hills establishes a connection to the majesty of the continent which once was.
