Suddenly | On impulse Mature course Freshly trodden |
A
wonderful characteristic of teaching is how course preparation informs creative construction. Working on a new assignment to present to my Advanced Digital Imaging class next week, I revisited a number of artistic concerns. Ostensibly about textures and richly layered meaning, the concept of the abstract landscape abruptly slipped into view. Along with this, the notion of fractured space incorporating images contained within images also became paramount. I was up way too late last night churning out variants integrating these theoretical mental products.
“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause and stand, wrapped in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.” - Albert Einstein
