volve toward a state of inert uniformity. At the many Missouri conservation areas, sections of crops are planted and left for the animal wildlife to harvest. Corn and soy beans are common, but on top of a hill at "Maple Leaf Lake" is this lone patch of weathered sunflowers. There is something rather stoic but poetic about the scene, captured here with my Olympus 21mm f3.5 lens. I think I will check back in about six weeks to further evaluate the decay rate.
