I ce, snow, and sunshine come together on a beautiful winter's afternoon. Long time readers of Latentsifier know I am easily entertained, and hiking around at the Lamine River Conservation Area for the first time provided ample enjoyment. Extending detail throughout a long luminosity range, this HDR treatment creates an abstract study in light and shadow. I like the granularity of frozen water as it contrasts with the liquid reflections. There exists a pristine purity on some winter days that is unmatched in any other season.

“"Hear! hear!" screamed the jay from a neighboring tree, where I had heard a tittering for some time, "winter has a concentrated and nutty kernel, if you know where to look for it."” - Henry David Thoreau
