hotographing in a steady cold rain, my newly designed protective camera cover functioned quite well. Only one last refinement needs to be made, a reliable method to attach the spirit level on the exterior of the enclosure to ensure straight horizons. I think I have a solution with a dual magnet hotshoe invention, which I fabricated with copious amounts of JB Weld. The great thing about developing the physical ability to remain creatively active in wet weather is the unique visual quality of the prevailing atmospheric conditions.
Finishing up “texture week” in my advanced digital imaging class, here I blended three separate textural captures into this base rain image as an inspirational example. To spice things up further, I also used a grid overlay to fracture the space and add enlightening interest. I have several more spin-off creations stimulated by these activities, which will be featured in subsequent latentsifier posts.
