s an experimental photographic challenge, I went out late in the day during a wet, windy snow storm. The temperature hovered around 32 degrees and conditions were uncomfortably sloppy. Placing a ziploc plastic bag aground the camera and lens, I discovered that I could not easily compose or adjust the controls. Actually I could not even see the LCD well enough for post-capture exposure evaluation. So I was reduced to setting the camera focus on infinity at f11, and pointing in general directions. My wireless infrared shutter release did function well, as did my leveling prototype. Snow began to accumulate on the bag, and unfortunately water drops formed on the exposed glass of the lens. As I didn't think to bring a lens cloth, I decided to abort the mission. After reviewing the results, however, I think with some better planning and minor bag adjustments, these weather circumstances offer ample visual opportunity.
