ere is the familiar abandoned theme treated with a texture overlay, a technique that works well with “drive-by-shootings.” Image imperfections caused by window reflections, motion blur anomalies, or compositional flaws that occur when rapidly exposing from the moving vehicle can be mitigated by blending in a second image. Part of the enjoyment is to collect a library of textures and select one which is synergistic with the base rendering. I look forward to introducing the method to my advanced digital imaging class.
