tepping back into a geometric minimalist mode, I was attracted by the complex simplicity of this three dimensional cement stair structure. Embodying an element of sculptural design, the damp surface is a tactile study in colorful monotone. From a purest perspective, the textural richness is probably too intricate for a traditional minimalistic work, but still this effort is an example of less when you can get more. From a technical perspective, the image is a focus bracket composite of three exposures made with an old Olympus 135mm f3.5 lens, a process which greatly increased the depth-of-field. Minimalism is an acquired taste.
