Floating Cylinders | Inclined to move Hovering smoothly Directrix trajectory |
A
surprising image, made from photographing a plastic playground climbing apparatus, transforms an object into a colorful mysterious amorphous abstraction. The cylinders are the result of circular holes in the glossy surface drawn across the sensor by panning the camera during exposure. This effort falls into the category of an experiment which certainly is outside my normal visual fare. As a result, now I will be on the lookout for geometric holes in other frameworks which might also work similarly.
“Don't be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
