equentially contiguous. Following up on yesterday's ramblings, here is another space-fragmentation image captured with the “pinring” and presented as a diptych. This time I used seam carving during post-processing to compress information horizontally. Also known as content-aware image resizing, this algorithm identifies connected paths of low energy pixels determined by local gradient contrast and automatically removes these “seams” to condense image size. The result is more detail packed into a smaller area, adding to the inherent sensory overload that is experienced when wandering through the carnival midway.
