urface infrared radiation reflections off the side of this sign superstructure are what help to make this image provocative. I like how the tones of the emblem are subtly rendered, and the way the assemblage is separated from the dark sky. The geometrical shapes evoke conceptual ties to cubism, with an emphasis on fractured space. An abandoned enterprise, the old store is next to El Tapatio, a popular authentic Mexican restaurant in Sedalia. Actually it is in the same building, with a wall between the eatery and the empty retail shell. I made this photograph just before engulfing an appetizing platter full of Enchilada Verdes. The consumed food is long gone, but this record of place and TileTime abides.
“Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.” - Harvey MacKay
