n the platform, as trains approach the station, embedded red lights start flashing. They remain on while the train is stationary, eerily shining up along the sides of the cars. In fact, the whole underground Metro scene is somewhat bizarre and mysteriously spooky, especially when experienced infrequently. Most of the passengers functioning in this synthetic environment act indifferent and aloof. Strangers in a strange land.
