n my drive-by infrared blurs, I get better results with the window down. I guess the tinted glass of my Ford Explorer filters out much IR radiation. Yesterday, since I was alone and had to drive, I set the camera up for zone focus and truly pointed the lens and shot. Although compositional pre-visualization is compromised, a few good images were nevertheless captured. The advantage is that had I been looking through the viewfinder, probably this is not how I would have organized space. Technique can help to break the mold.
