Young Corn | Prairie farmland East of Sedalia On the Katy |

arrying a newly converted IR camera along made for more stops and interruptions of the bicycling rhythm usually established on long Katy Trail rides. But after reviewing the results, the disruptions were well worth it. This landscape was captured at approximately 7am looking north. The rows of corn, isolated tree line, and strategically positioned clouds, all work nicely together. One significant difference between shooting IR with the Canon 5D versus the Sony F828 is the electronic viewfinder of the latter, which provides tonality information prior to capture. But having a larger sensor coupled with the ability to select from my EOS-mount lens arsenal more than makes up for this disadvantage.
