n the search for invisible radiation in the neighborhood. I really like functioning on the boundaries of sensation, and my recently converted infrared Canon 5D enables facile reconnoitering. The major advantage of this converted IR camera is the dramatic gain in the effective infrared sensitivity allowing for fast shutter speeds. This permits lithe hand-held shooting coupled with extreme image quality.
Rendering information which is beyond human sensation helps to establish the strict limits we generally impose on authenticity. Reality must include everything that is, whether or not it is visible or explicable.
