D oors are boundary portals which may provide access into alternate or expanded realms of perception. Until we pass through, we never know exactly what exists on the other side. Nor do we know how this entry point appears when approached from another dimension. Sentient beings on the other side may be wondering about the characteristics of our perceptual space. Operative in formalistic illustrative terms, this metaphorical opportunity is texturally rich in its geometric linearity. We are presented with many doors, but we decide which ones to open.

“To be shaken out of the ruts of ordinary perception, to be shown for a few timeless hours the outer and inner world, not as they appear to an animal obsessed with survival or to a human being obsessed with words and notions, but as they are apprehended, directly and unconditionally, by Mind at Large– this is an experience of inestimable value to everyone and especially to the intellectual.” - Aldous Huxley
