Dawn Rain | Pin oak Front yard Spring foliage |
S
tanding on my porch listening to the steady rain and wondering what the day will bring, I notice the lighting effect as cars traveling down the street approach my position. Stepping back into the house, I grab my camera equipped with the fast Nikon 55mm f1.2 lens and head back out for defocused light accumulations. Using the Pin Oak on the east side as a compositional device, I expose as car headlights penetrate the rain before they otherwise enter the scene. The day is off to a great start.
“The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain.” - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
