isual stimulation initiates an interrelated chain-reaction dialog of perception. Looking up while ambling along, house architecture and tree branches mingle with the sky. To render the experience, I revisited a technique I developed long ago, but which has been quiescent. Two handheld exposures were made, one focused and one focusschmocused, rendering different degrees of sharpness. In Photoshop, the sharper image was used as a displacement map for the less sharp image, thus creating a ghostlike manifestation.
