structural snippet extracted from a larger whole, partial yet visually complete. Recently I have ventured forth on several photo expeditions with a reduced lens set, taking a 12-24mm ultra wide and a 70-300mm DO telephoto as my working optics. The transition when switching between these two different rendering instruments changes my approach and relationship to external stimulation, shifting my awareness from the wide and intimate to the narrow and distant. I wonder if this cognitive perceptual differential can be measured. Perhaps a real-time brain wave measuring apparatus using a plurality of electrodes and method for transmitting and analyzing the measured brain waves via a portable computer would be valued research.
