Farley Elevator

   Time consuming
Grain concern
Amalgamation

N orth of Kansas City on 45 highway sits an abandoned agricultural depot wedged between the road and train tracks. While we photographed the structure, a car pulled off the highway and mysteriously sat idling nearby for about ten minutes, and then left. Soon after we finished making images, loaded our gear back into the vehicle, and resumed our photographic exploration in search for more visual venues. As we got back underway, a cop car came rushing up to the old grain elevator. In my rear view mirror I saw the police officer get out and begin an investigation, apparently having been notified of our suspicious activities.
