n an Eastern Arkansas swamp, biodiversity diminishes as wetlands shrink - drained and converted to farmland. Consequently a valuable natural resource of enormous value is squandered. Wetlands normalize water levels within watersheds, thus reducing flood and storm damages; improve water quality; provide important wildlife habitat, including endangered and threatened species; offer aesthetic inspiration; and support recreational activities.
“It's a moral question about whether we have the right to exterminate species.” - David Attenborough
