W arm and cool austere ornamentation. An image reminiscent of a color field painting, largely characterized by an abstract composition rendered primarily by dominant hue relationships, is offered for contemplation. Another name for this genre is chromatic abstraction, in which greatly reduced references to nature are represented with a highly articulated and psychological use of color as an end in itself. Addressing issues of universality, this work is an effort to provide a visually significant extraction conveying information not presentable in words.

“If what a person makes is completely and profoundly right according to his lights then this work contains the whole man. A work which falls short of this content is only of passing value and lends itself to arbitrariness and fragmentation.” - Richard Diebenkorn
