ach morning during our visit to Eureka Springs, I got up early and went for a long walk. Covering about five miles just after daybreak, I was able to avoid both the high temperatures and hordes of tourists prevalent later in the day. I especially liked climbing up above the small downtown commercial area and into the residential neighborhoods. The terrain is very hilly, with steep grades in all directions, so a good physical workout was a bonus benefit.
