   Mule-Hide roofs
Not a kick in
A million feet

O ld advertising signs are fascinating. I found this one in Eureka Springs, and was especially draw to it because mules are a confident breed. Mules are first filial generation hybrids between a horse and a donkey, producing desirable characteristics from either or both parents. It is difficult to understand how a mule is related to a roof, or what a million kick free feet has to do with anything, but the whole installation is charming.

“A mule will labor ten years willingly and patiently for you, for the privilege of kicking you once.” - William Faulkner
