Skytruction

   Vertical assembly
Metropolis growth
Topographic modification

A ll things must have a beginning. Thus it is with the concrete and steel vertical support beams that are captured here in the process of construction. The amount of structural material required within the lower levels of a skyscraper will be much larger than the material required within higher levels. However, as buildings become super-tall, it is lateral wind load which becomes the prevailing structural design dynamic.

“From the smallest necessity to the highest religious abstraction, from the wheel to the skyscraper, everything we are and everything we have comes from one attribute of man - the function of his reasoning mind.” - Ayn Rand
