Magnolia | Natural range rather scattered Supposed coincidences Evermore stirring |

e finish off this month with the transformative powers of infrared imaging, which provides great atmospheric drama. This was shot in Greeneville, Tennessee next to the Andrew Johnson Homestead which was the President's home from 1851 until his death in 1875. You can make out a small portion of the dwelling in the lower right hand corner of the image. Johnson shares the dubious distinction of being one of only two US presidents to be impeached, along with William Jefferson Clinton. I was intrigued by the size and majesty of the several ancient magnolias that grace the property.
“The goal to strive for is a poor government but a rich people.” - Andrew Johnson
