n an earlier post I described hiking through fields of high grass at the Maple Leaf Lake Conservation Area. Here is an image made while out in the middle of this prairie remnant. By converting the image into a monochromatic sepia tone, it better conveys the mood and ambiance of the experience. I like how this treatment evokes a dramatic softness to the scene. Although the area covered by these impressive grasses was relatively small, it required much effort to traverse, especially encumbered with a load of photographic equipment.
